Handmade table lamp with the Twin Fish in Celery pattern shade. This archival printed handmade paper shade features the Twin Fish pattern inspired by aquatic life. Painterly stylized Images of fish, a water lily, a trout lily, coastal seascape are rendered in hues of aqua, teal, greens, chocolate, mocha, ivory and celery green in a wide border. The upper portion of the shade depicts Willow leaves in a muted sage green on a Celery color background. The shade is signed, dated and hallmarked with a pewter charm. The base is handmade with a satin brushed copper stem, hand cast satin pewter detailing and a custom mined Vermont slate base in sage green. The lamp also features a pewter "faceted star" pull charm and a pewter finial sculpted in the form of a leaf. The lamp houses a 100 watt bulb and is UL Listed.

"After seventeen years, lighting design still encompasses my passion to satisfy my artistic vision, a jeweler's meticulous attention to detail and an engineer's drive to construct solid and functional lamps to be enjoyed for generations."

Long influenced by a fascination with historic and contemporary designs, Janna Ugone's work illustrates a wide range of inspirations, including landscapes and travel scenery, botanical rendering and journal drawings. To speak solely of artistry would not represent her commitment to the creation of lasting objects, ones that can in time become heirlooms.

Employing a distinctive approach to craft, Ugone marries whimsy with exactitude. Her earthenware combines painterly images, for example, constellation-filled night skies with lasting, custom mixed glazes. Sculptural designs for pewter finials and pull chains are hand modeled from wax with a jeweler's precision before being individually cast and polished. High quality materials include brushed aluminum or copper for her lamps, stems and honed marble and slate for their bases. Still, a pretty object alone is never enough; Ugone prides herself in producing some of the most durable and innovative lamps available.

Even more beautiful in real life; I have two other Janna Ugone lamps and am thrilled by this one too! The metal and stone are just gorgeous, as is the painted shade.

I love this lamp
This was my second Ugone lamp and though I like them both, this one is my favorite. It is in our living room, with rather traditional furniture, and another, antique, table lamp. There are a couple of modern paintings though, and somehow the lamp blends in beautifully. It is elegant without being ostentatious, and the hardware and base are very well made. I love the design and I find that it gives me pleasure just to look at it.
