Carlos Page

Carlos F. Page

"In creating my work, I focus on energy, balance, and transformation. My work is inspired by my experience. As I travel, I am constantly charged by contact with nature, the dazzling pace of civilization, and the people in my life. At my studio in New Jersey, I pour this energy into my work."

Carlos Page was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1989, he moved to San Francisco to work as an apprentice to Argentine artist Pepe Ozan. It was there that Page had his first experiences working with steel, concrete, and other materials.

After a brief return to Buenos Aires, Page moved to New York City to reside and study. He earned a bachelor's degree from Hunter College in 2001, graduating Phi Beta Kappa as part of Hunter's Honors program. Within that program, Page focused on the study of art and began creating his first sculptures. This work drew inspiration from the energy of the people and places that he encountered during his extensive travels.

In 2001, Page opened the sculpture and furniture studio where he continues his work today. Over the years, the artist has participated in many nationally juried arts festivals and design shows.
