Donna D'Aquino

"I am interested in pushing the boundaries that traditionally define Western jewelry. "

Originally trained in graphic design, Donna D'Aquino is interested in the bare essentials of design--simplicity and elegance. She uses pearls in some of her pieces to lend a touch of color to the strong lines of her jewelry.

D'Aquino's work is inspired by architecture and is hand fabricated using sterling silver. Some of the pieces incorporate cultured freshwater pearls.

Donna D'Aquino was born in Newburgh, New York. She received her B.S. in design from the State University College of New York at Buffalo in 1989, and her M.F.A. from Kent State University in 2000.
