Dorian Webb
"Jewelry, for me, is a vital means of expressing who you are, what is important to you, and what values you hold. Creating pieces that give the recipient joy and underscore their hopes, their self pride, and their accomplishments is what drives me."
Dorian Webb celebrates women, explores the meaning of cultural heritage, and fosters conversation by creating intentional jewelry that makes women feel seen. Each piece, whether made of 18k gold and diamonds or sterling silver and vibrant, semi-precious gems is designed to make a statement, encourage personal expression, and most importantly, build connection.
Believing that hand craftsmanship of jewelry conveys a sense of care to the wearer, Webb hand carves her models out of wax, a material known for its ability to preserve fine detailing. Because color plays an important role in her designs, she carefully selects the semiprecious stones that are used in her collections to convey a layered sense of mood, meaning, and place.
Webb studied architecture at Yale University and mastered the art of metalsmithing in Florence, Italy, at Fuji Studios during a semester abroad. Prior to that, Dorian was a self-taught artist, supplementing her design skills with classes at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, PA, and by studying with independent jewelers in New Haven, CT.
