"Ever since I can remember, the fantastic world of glassblowing has surrounded me. I love how in glassblowing, you can make masterpieces out of an orange blob of molten glass at 2,100 degrees Fahrenheit. It's truly amazing!"

Bryce Lockwood is inspired by the art glass created throughout history, so it is fitting that his own artwork reflects a sense of rich, antique curiosity. Lockwood primarily creates ornaments and loves the holiday season. He takes great pride in knowing that his ornaments will be hung with joy for generations to come. He works in a studio nestled in Golden, Colorado, where the snow never has a chance to build up on the rooftop.

Bryce Lockwood creates his work using the ancient technique of off-hand glassblowing, which involves a hollow, five-foot long blowpipe, molten glass, and your own human breath. During the blowing process, the molten glass is rolled in colored glass powders, silver nitrate, and other materials to achieve a rich, metallic background.
