Ross A Delano
RAD Glassware
"I love creating objects that are playful and bold; I strive to craft items that bring my clients’ joy."
Ross enjoys making bold, whimsical, fun, and elegant glass designs to brighten up personal spaces. A sculptor at heart, many of his creations convey the bright colors and textures of tropical flora he observed during childhood adventures in South America. His Retro Areo ornaments evoke a long-time fascination with historical aviation and science fiction.
Everything Ross makes starts off as a collection of molten glass at the end of a metal pipe. He then manipulates the glass using a variety of metal and wooden tools to form the glass into beautiful home décor. Delano delights in using centuries old tools to make contemporary forms.
Ross began blowing glass in New Hampshire during College under professor Jordana Korsen. After college he worked in a few glass shops in the northeast before moving to Corning, NY in 2010. At the Corning Museum of Glass Ross honed his skills by assisting numerous local and international glass artists before starting his own glass company in 2016. Currently he works in Corning, creating his own products and teaching glass making classes at The Studio.
