Persephone Rising

After a paint spill in her studio, artist Cassandra Tondro noticed beautiful patterns in the puddle; not wanting the paint to go to waste, she pushed a canvas into the wet paint, thereby developing a new technique that opened up a world of new ideas and designs. Inspired by the wonders of the Earth, the free-flowing patterns in the work resemble the natural forms of sky and sea, flora and fauna.

With an eye toward sustainability, this painting was created using repurposed leftover house paint that would otherwise go to waste. Coated with a UV varnish on gallery-wrapped canvas, and signed on the back. Wired and ready to hang.
