Lens Bowl in Opaline With Indigo Reticello

This heavy bowl is made of blown, cut, and polished glass and features an inside layer of indigo canes forming a reticello pattern suspended in a thick layer of crystal.

The piece is first blown using traditional Italian glassblowing techniques. After cooling, the piece is then carved into shape while being turned on its center axis. The surface is then finely polished, giving the bowl its unique optical qualities.
