John Elias of Elias Studios enjoys playing with unique color combinations combined with layering, which can evoke a remembered visual experience: a garden, a Tiffany window, a Monet painting, a bird...each piece bringing a surprise of unexpected, personal visual imagery to the viewer. Individually hand blown using traditional glassblowing technique, this blue, white and gold ornament starts as a collection of clear, molten glass that's patterned with frit, visually flowing across the surface creating movement and rhythm.
