Veiled Pearl Illusion
Art Glass Paperweight
Created by
Edward Kachurik
Kachurik's "Veiled Pearl Illusion" is handcrafted using wooden blocks and newspaper to work with the molten glass in order to help form the shape. This elegant design has three panels. The veils of color are layered to bring Kachurik's unique design to life. The air bubble is suspended in the design. This design has a luxurious mother or pearl exterior finish. After the piece is annealed, each flat surface goes through six different steps of grinding and polishing to achieve the optical polished finish.
Kachurik's transparent sculptures maximize the extraordinary inherent qualities of glass. Each piece is unique and will vary slightly. Signed by the artist.
