Bamboo Forest

Sunlight pushes its way through the canopy of a dense thicket of bamboo as a strong breeze bends each tightly-packed stalk. In the Sagano Bamboo Forest in Kyoto, meandering wooden walkways cut through a sprawling grove, where a peaceful soundscape unlike anywhere else in the world can be heard when the wind blows. Earthy speckled gold, green, red and red reflect Arashiyama's natural beauty. Bamboo Forest's unique design is created by fusing strips of colored glass and forming them into two gently curled panels. The piece's staggered arrangement allows the viewer to imagine themselves deep within the forest, as if they too were walking along one of the paths and peering through the towering, swaying trees. Arcs are free standing with glass stand and can be arranged to your liking. Dimensions: Arc I: 11" w, 9.5" taller side of arc, 7.5" shorter side. Arc II: 11.25"w, 8" taller side of arc, 5.5" shorter side.
