Gold and Amethyst Broadband Murrini Vase

Freehand blown glass vase with gold, amethyst, and crystal-clear murrini. This vessel is made with filigrana murrini, a technique that employs dozen of glass rods that are fused together to make tiles and then pieced together like a puzzle before the vase is blown. The clear glass murrini are made from a lead-based clear glass, which makes for a very clear, if not invisible, design within the walls of the piece. This creates the illusion that parts of the vase are missing. One can look through these "holes" to the other side of the vase. The overall visual impact is stunning, making this vase an ideal centerpiece for any room.
