Dolly in a Green Light
Art Glass Wall Sculpture
Created by
Michael Dupille
A charming conversation starter for anyone who loves sheep, science, or uncommon glassworks, "Dolly in a Green Light"—a nod to the first sheep cloned—is crafted using a unique process developed by the artist. To build the rich layers of color and texture, the process begins with a layer of frit arranged on a base piece of glass; next, the twisted “wool” is added—creating texture both physically and visually. Throughout the build, additional individually crafted glass elements and frit are added for each successive firing until the final aesthetic is achieved. Backed with sheet aluminum and ready to hang.
