K4 Glass Art
"I focus my sculptures on abstract geometrical forms, texture and pure lines, highly influenced by my architectural background. "

Venezuelan glass artist Alicia Kelemen brings out the desired optic effects, forms, textures and a wide array of structures and color in her contemporary multi-media layered collaged mosaic murals, decorative art for the wall, mirrors, home accent floral vases and Judaic Art influenced by her colorful and exotic tropical towery Tepees landscapes and majestic natural wonders cascades like "Angel Falls". Her abstract designs depict the deep tones of jungles and transparent beaches.

Kelemen creates her art by drafting manually each piece to scale to combine the mosaic technique, using travertine stone with Kiln-Formed glass. Her technique is created by incorporating multi-layers collages of fused glass, flat glass, color mirror accents and copper gold wiring and cut stone.

Alicia Kelemen is a second generation architect and glass maker since 1983. She grew up in Venezuela surrounded by glass projects within her home and her father's constant creativity and inspiration. She furthers her knowledge in the USA under the master professor Ludwig Schaffrath in USA and Germany.

Mosaic Red Carpets art pieces

I ordered two of the red carpet pieces to go on a wall in the living room between two windows. I wanted glass art and something in colors that would compliment two other pieces of art in the room. It was a risk to make a choice on colors I couldn't see in person but went ahead because they could be returned if they didn't work.

I am very happy with the pieces. The colors are more muted than they seemed to show online, which I prefer. They also change according to the time of day and weather which enhancing their appearance.

MY REVIEW JOINS THOSE OF THE MORE DISAPPOINTED VIEWERS

I purchased this trio because I LOVED how the strategically placed OTHER colors of fused glass (e.g., periwinkle, purple, green, turquoise) made the primary color theme of red, brown, and gold POP, in my opinion. The vertical trio I received had none of these other wonderfully unexpected colors. Just the red/brown/gold theme, with a couple of the white bars. Someone who wanted the more limited, muted, range of those three colors would be quite happy with this purchase. Alas, I was not one of those people.
Too bad the artist doesn't provide pictures of all the product she sends out in response to orders. Then customer expectations would be better managed, and not reliant upon the primary representational photo.

Really beautiful!

What a lovely addition to my home! The colors deepen and become more or less iridescent depending on the time of day. I am very happy with this purchase.
