Bronze Sculpture

Graceful figures meld in delicate balance on this hand-cast bronze sculpture, created using the lost wax process.
The individually made pieces are first sculpted in plaster, and a wax mold is created. At the bronze foundry, the pieces are repeatedly dipped in ceramic to form a heat-resistant shell into which the liquid bronze is poured.
After being removed from the mold, the bronze is smoothed, sandblasted, and mounted to the green marble base before being finished with a multicolored patina and coated with wax.

Care
- Wax yearly with Trewax to enhance the color. Avoid contact with alcohol, which will damage the patina.
