Tall Blooms

Colorful floral designs bring playful exuberance to this slab-built stoneware basket. The patterns are impressed into the clay, adding texture to the piece, and the top of the work is glazed with a vivid red-orange matte glaze that repeats in the blooms. The natural buff color of the clay body is rubbed with a dark iron oxide before the final firing.
