Miniature Crystalline Seafoam Lidded Vessel

This hand-thrown, porcelain miniature vessel displays a blue-green seafoam glaze and boasts sparkling 22k gold accents added during firing. To achieve its fascinating exterior, it was fired in an oxidation atmosphere with crystalline glaze, then cooled to form crystals, which are "etched" in sodium bisulfate to lighten their color.
