Crafted with African-sourced Mopani wood—which is used in the preparation of traditional medicines—this fascinating ceramic vessel was raku-fired and features a lidded vase of porcelain clay. Colored in golden brown and warm caramel hues, the textured surface was created by applying terra sigillata for a soft sheen. Then finished by adding horsehair to the surface and burning it away, leaving a black carbon imprint and a unique design. This piece is for display only.
