This thrilling sculpture begins life as a rough version from press mold pieces; after assembling and mounting the pieces on its base, artist Daniel Slack begins his extensive sculpting work—paying particular attention to the feline's noble face.
The distinct glaze is Slack's own formulation: a rich, flowing, microcrystalline matte, produced using raw metallic oxides like cobalt, copper, and chrome fired to a high temperature. This artwork is intended for indoor use. Signed on front of base.
