Early Spring: Tulip Magnolia

This Celadon glaze porcelain vase depicts delicate tulip magnolia blossoms in shades of magenta and pink, its applique flowers and buds constructed from very thin slabs of clay, drawn, and cut by hand. Its branches are carved directly into the surface of the vase in a tribute to the Korean "Goryeo" style.
