Geometric Canteen Vase

This round vase was made from two circles of slab connected with a wide strip of clay; each were decorated before assembly via stamping and black slip. To create a soft bulge in the canteen, the circles were placed on a slump mold and allowed to stiffen. Well-suited for a mantle or shelf due to its narrow width.
