Peach Blossoms, Butterfly and Bumblebee

A bumblebee flits from flower to flower on this tactile, wheel-thrown porcelain vase. The leaves and branches are carved into the vessel's surface, melding with the paper-thin appliques to create layers of dimension. The blossoms, bee and butterfly are glazed with intricately blended tones before the jade background color is applied.
