Picassos Garden

Only Picasso could have a garden like this!

This arrangement draws from the Jean Elton Tall Vases, combining works of different sizes but with the same Jean Elton surface treatment. The arrangement has been assembled to make the design statement of each piece, but also to make a further, collective statement. To that end, some of the design elements of this arrangement complement each other, while some contrast.

The surface treatment of this piece is an example of the so-called 'Underwater' series after the hand-painted color and shapes evocative of a lively oceanic coral reef. Both the interior and exterior have a matte finish.

The individual pieces that comprise this arrangement are fired first to approximately 1800 degrees F, after which any remaining fine alterations are made with reduced risk of loss due to breakage. After the surface treatments are applied by hand, a second firing to about 2100 degrees F brings the process to completion.

A certificate of authenticity provided displays the Arrangement's unique serial number found on the underside of each piece, preceded by "AR". However, each is uniquely identified with a lettered suffix at the end of the serial number. Both the work and its certificate are signed by Jean Elton.

The dimensions of the large component are 11"h, 11"w, 11"d. The dimensions of the medium component are 10"h, 10"w, 10"d. The dimensions of the small component are 6"h, 9"w, 9"d.
