Miniature Galaxy Green Bottle

This hand-thrown porcelain vessel displays an galactic green glaze; to achieve its fascinating exterior, it was fired in an oxidation atmosphere at high temperature with a crystalline glaze, which then cooled to form a gorgeous and truly unique crystal pattern. As a final step, it was soaked in an acidic compound for 24 hours to lighten and etch the glaze.
