14th Street, South Beach

Color Photograph

Created by Richard Speedy
After Hurricane Andrew hit Miami Beach with devastating force and destruction, the city hired a team of architects to design and rebuild the lifeguard stands along South Beach, the idea being to make a statement about the community's resilience and revitalization; the replacements are a tribute to Miami's mid-century architecture and vibrant, tropical beauty culture.

This print is made in artist Richard Speedy's studio with pigmented inks on museum-quality, acid-free, cotton rag paper. Signed and numbered by the artist with archival pen on front in the lower white border, it's signed, numbered, titled, and dated on the reverse with archival pen. Ships rolled in a tube, not ready to hang.
