French Boudoir of the Louis XV Period

Color Photograph

Animal species include: White Lion (extinct in the wild), Malayan Tiger (critically endangered), Masai Giraffe (endangered), and Ruppell’s Griffon Vulture (critically endangered). "Captive Splendor" is a body of work that stages photographs of zoo animals--most with survival issues-- within images of the Thorne Miniature Rooms (on permanent exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago). Part dollhouse, part theatrical set, part tableaux, the reimagined rooms juxtapose the wild with the cultivated.

Your fine art photograph will be printed using an archival cotton-rag inkjet paper that has a semi-matte sheen (such as Canson Infinity Rag Photographique paper). When displayed properly, it will maintain its beauty and richness for generations.

The museum-quality print will be shipped to you in a heavy cardboard mailing tube. It will be tucked inside an acetate sleeve, then rolled in abundant packing materials to assure its safe delivery. Once your print has arrived, please unpack it carefully with clean, dry hands and handle only the edges, or leave it packed until taken to a framer. This will reduce the possibility of creasing or leaving finger prints. Hang your new print out of direct sunlight, avoiding extreme temperatures and humidity.
