Fiber Wall Hanging
Created by
Olena Nebuchadnezzar
The inspiration for this one-of-a-kind fiber wall hanging was an evening visit to the local winery taken by artist Olena Nebuchadnezzar, where ripening, juicy grapes were lit by the setting sun. Made predominantly from silk and metallic silk organza with some hand-dyed cotton and painted with metallic acrylic paints, it's wrapped over wooden stretcher bars with wiring added to the back and is ready to hang. Like all of Nebuchadnezzar's fiber works, this striking composition rewards closer viewing.
