D'Urville's Birdwing

This art is a new series the artist has been creating. It is inspired from his youth growing up in the tropics of South America. He saw butterflies daily in their natural habitat in all their splendor. D'Urville's Birdwing Butterfly, Ornithoptera urvilliana, now Ornithoptera primus urvillianus. Found in tropical Cape York peninsula in Australia. Giclee print on paper of an original mixed-media work on aluminum.
