Willow Leaf Gall Ring

Completely hand fabricated from sterling silver, with solid 18k gold gall details. This work explores the affects that disease or insects have on the aesthetic quality of plants, and questions objective botanical beauty. Galls occur when the tissue of a leaf gets irritated which stimulates abnormal cell growth, creating a shelter and food for the pest within.

Available in whole and half sizes 5-13. Slightly adjustable. Due to the band width, the artist suggests sizing up a half size.
