Back Bay
Linocut Print
Created by
William Hays
Along the northern coast of America, small bays host the fishing fleets. The artist's starting point for this piece was in Maine, where lobstermen and shrimpers await the season to be out on the open water. Until then, their boats nestle in calm water with the soft colors of the evening painting the scene and two herons making their way to the evening roost in the coral light.
