A Little Bit of Bling

In this sculptural art basket by Toni Best, natural southern pine needles coiled with wax linen and copper wire are attached to a richly-painted gourd. Due to the pliability of the pine needles, this piece has natural undulations and movements, and the floating coils have gaps between them, adding a sense of depth. Finished with a protective acrylic spray.
