The Journey

This mixed-media painting is created from layers of vibrant acrylic paints and a variety of textural materials. Found objects, including cord, metal hardware, straw, wire mesh, corrugated light bulb paper, steel wool and wood scraps add visceral excitement. Using brush and palette knife, areas of impasto painting serve to amplify the feeling of movement and energy. An acid-free archival coating protects the surface and produces a subtle sheen. On gallery-wrapped canvas, the piece is signed and ready to hang.
