The Observer

In physics, the observer effect is the theory that the mere observation of a phenomenon inevitably changes that phenomenon. Electrons, for example, are no longer where you see them. The sun sets before we see it setting. The observer and the point of observation changes the observed.

Bringing together his love of metal surfaces with imagery and painting, the artist creates work that not only glows with reflected light, but also have a texture that appears to float above the aluminum substrate. He incorporates images that are printed digitally on transparent layers and adhered or transferred directly onto the work, enhancing both the metal and the paint in unexpected ways.
