"With my Loops Series of jewelry I am exploring geometry and new materials. 3D printed nylon is a wonderful material for jewelry. It is flexible, durable and light-weight. It allows for big, bold designs that won't weigh you down."

Maria is driven by the desire to experiment with materials and processes. She is intrigued by the idea of wearable story and communication through jewelry. Her work also portrays a material obsession, using both traditional jewelry methods and newer technologies including 3D printing and laser cutting.

For this body of work, Maria is focused on new technologies. The jewelry is designed in a CAD program and made using a 3D printer. The pieces are then hand dyed in the artist's studio.

Maria studied jewelry and metals at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia.

Disappointed

I was super excited about these earrings as I wanted something "pink" for breast cancer without it having to be a pink ribbon. I was very disappointed when I received these as I thought they looked VERY cheap and they were VERY stiff. I thought they would have more give and bend to them creating a softer look. These did not. I had to send them back, even though I tried to like them.

Architecture for the ear

These earrings are a Christmas gift for my soon-to-be daughter-in-law. Her smile lights up a room because it shines through her eyes. And these earrings to that mix and the wow factor will jump up several notches. I am sure she will wear them well. They are big, but extremely lightweight and possess a "happy" presence.

Just Love the color!!!

I bought these earring as part of the Pink with a Purpose. As having breast cancer it is an important cause to support. The color of these is great and I love that they are so light as heavy earrings give me a headache.
