Contemplay

This painting was inspired by the work of Emily Mason. Kahn patiently poured layers of liquefied oil paints to create an abstract design in which each color bloc depends on the color bloc next to it. There is also important technique in where the pigment is dropped on the canvas. The emerging soft pastel painting derives strength from its shapes and lines.
