Like most people, DeCuir loves having fresh flowers at home. She decided that painting some would be the next best course of action. That way, she could look at them all the time. She used a deep cradle wood panel as the substrate because it looks beautiful unframed and is ready to hang. The sides are birch wood. Oil paint with a touch of charcoal for outlining and accents were the media used.
