Ocean Depth

The artist has always been intrigued by the way light plays across the surface of colors and how the colors are perceived. She has developed her own style of applying oil paint with a palette knife to create rich color fields on canvas. In her "Refraction" series the colors refract and break apart, showing multiple layers of color that move and dance across the surface. Her technique of subtle blends of color and value, create a texture that is both peaceful and bold. Image extends around the edges of the gallery-wrapped canvas.
