Summer Light

The artist is intrigued by the way light plays across the surface of colors and how the colors are perceived. She applies oil paint with a palette knife to create rich color fields on canvas. In her "Refraction" series, the colors refract and break apart, showing multiple layers that move and dance across the surface. Her technique subtly blends color and value to create a texture that is both peaceful and bold. The image continues onto the sides of the gallery-wrapped canvas, so there is no need to frame it.
