Waiting for Summer
Oil Painting
Created by
Suzanne DeCuir
Sometimes it seems that the seasons get stuck and are not changing when they are supposed to change. Just when you put away your coat there's a cold snap and summer seems like it's never going to arrive. This gray day makes the artist think of that liminal state. This painting is done in oils and charcoal stick on canvas. The edges are deep cradle and painted black all the way around so it can be framed or unframed.
