Autumn Stream

The artist often watercolors outside near ponds as she is drawn to paint the changing images reflected in the water. This pulp painting derives from a series of watercolors depicting the dark bank and the reflections of Fall trees. Davies tried to capture the energy of the image as it broke up and reformed with the passing of currents. All the color is from pigmented paper pulp poured onto the base sheet and small handmade paper shapes pressed onto the surface. Shipped ready to frame.
