Good as Gold

For this piece, Davies used a light weight paper for the base sheet that she made herself. The background is the natural color of Japanese kozo. The designs on top were made by drawing with pigmented linen pulp that she squeezed out of bottles. Davies' aim was to pattern the piece with an interesting rhythm and to keep it light and playful.
