Dog

Each Locknesters dog, the latest addition to the Locknesters family, is both an intriguing sculpture and a jigsaw puzzle born of artist Fleet Hower's interest in art that encourages interaction. Sculptures are digitally designed and 3-D printed in the artist's Brooklyn studio. Surfaces of each of its pieces are barrel tumbled, hand sanded, and buffed for a smooth, polished feel and ease of reassembly. During the smoothing process, every piece obtains distinct coloration. A water-based topcoat seals and protects the piece. Each dog is comprised of six interlocking pieces.
