Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and Glass Necklace

Vibrant and exciting, this composition features a distinct colored turquoise from the Sleeping Beauty mine in Arizona. Glass beads are artist-handmade, using turquoise and carrot-red Venetian and domestic glass rods. The glass is melted around a mandrel in a 2000 degree oxy-propane torch flame. The black glass beads are acid-etched for a variety of texture. The glass and turquoise is accented with cube-shaped sterling silver beads, completing the piece. Spacers and signature tag are fine silver. The beads are strung using a 49 strand braided and coated metal wire for strength. The toggle clasp is embellished with a dangle bead, which adds balance when worn, and allows easy clasping. Supply of the turquoise is limited. Some variation in shading and bead sequence will occur, but each piece will reflect the same style and color palette.
