Asa-no-ha Hall Table
Wood Console Table

Shaker meets shoji in this gorgeous table from Michael Jury. Classic Shaker design elements include use of solid walnut and tapered legs, while shoji comes into play via the the mitered top frame surrounding seven floating iterations of the traditional asa-no-ha—also known as the hemp leaf— kumiko pattern in basswood, set in a glass insert. The solid cherry legs splay out at two degrees and the aprons under the top have a gentle curve to soften the angles and giving this table a more modern feel.
