Moonrise
Wood Console Table
Created by
Carol Jackson
Combining art with function, an abstract three-dimensional landscape shimmers in the light of an oversized full moon. Circles drilled into the table top and underlaid with aluminum reveal a full moon above rolling hills. The bubinga top floats above a base constructed from ebonized ash and anodized aluminum, giving a light appearance to this exquisite African hardwood. The density and durability of bubinga produce an exceptionally smooth surface and make it a superb wood for drilling the crisp, smooth-sided holes that compose the abstract design.

Care
The finish molecularly bonds with the wood fibers and does not crack, peel or flake. Light vacuum cleaning with a dusting brush keeps the drilled-circle design looking pristine.
