Bowl Turned from Figured Maple with Cocobolo Foot

This masterfully-crafted display bowl is crafted from Figured Maple and Cocobolo Rosewood; the two woods contrast beautifully, with the the maple boasting wonderful chatoyance. This work was turned to a very thin dimension, finely sanded and sealed; after sealing, Danish oil was rubbed into the wood, followed by hand rubbing with a combination of carnauba and beeswax in a light solvent. The result is a light, transparent quality. For decorative use only; display stand included.
