Cardinal Pair

It's lovely when a Cardinal catches your eye. This bright spot in the foliage could mean a pair is sharing parental duties, whistling together, and basically making everything cheery. This poplar construction is carved on the band saw, and painted with layers of latex enamel. The male is red; the female is more subtle.
