Journey Boat: Figure with Dog

Boats are safe havens as well as carriers to adventure and discovery. Carved from wood using a bandsaw and hand painted with latex enamel, this sculpture features a figure with a dog and a bird on the bow. On the underside of the boat is a quote from George Elliot: "Agreeable friends, they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms."
