The top of this rustic side table is a thick slab of solid figured honeylocust wood supported by four graceful-but-sturdy, lathe-turned honeylocust legs. The top has been trimmed to an asymmetrical freeform shape, tapered toward the edge, and hand-shaped to a smooth, rounded profile. Small natural cracks in the top have been glued, and two open cracks have been secured with contrasting bubinga bow ties. Tenons at the top of the legs pierce through the top and are glued and fastened with bubinga wedges. Finished with hand applied polyurethane.
