Britt Rynearson

"My designs focus on line and form: the lines drawn around the body by a sculptural pleated shawl or the lines and marks made on the surface of the fabric that is then shaped into a wearable form. "

Britt Rynearson has spent more than eighteen years developing a line of blankets, clothing, and scarves. Her current line features permanently pleated scarves and shawls.

Maps have been a source of inspiration for her, specifically, unplanned urban growth and the organic forms it takes when viewed from above.

Rynearson received a BA in studio art from Scripps College in Claremont, California, and an MFA in arts leadership from Seattle University.
